Neil Lampert joined CIPA in August 2014 from the Probation Association, the national membership body for the Probation Trusts of England and Wales. As the Association's PR and Communications Manager he held the most senior communications position in the probation service outside of Government, briefing politicians and creating and managing many national media appearances by senior probation chiefs. He also spent four years as Communications Manager for Kent Probation dealing with operational crisis communications that surround an organisation running sex offender hostels and managing high risk offenders.
A journalist by trade he spent many years working as a Chief Reporter and News Editor for the Kent Messenger Group running newsrooms in newspaper and radio environments.
He has also managed teams in a city PR agency, where he handled accounts including that of More London Development, the company behind the £1billion riverside estate that is now home to the Greater London Authority's City Hall and a number of international corporate headquarters. Neil is a member of The Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Neil lives with his partner and two young children in West Kent.
