B.Sc.; CPA; EPA. Professional career: Entered private practice from university. Since 1972 partner in Forrester Ketley & Co, senior partner since 2003. In 1977, a founder partner of Forrester & Boehmert. Retired as a partner at both firms in September 2006. Papers or articles: ‘A Night in the Life of a Bill’, CIPA June 1988. ‘EPC Appeal Procedures’ (1996) 7 EIPR 419 (with Dr. A.W. White). Report on the Diplomatic Conference on the Revision of the European Patent Convention, CIPA December 2000. Services to Institute: Former lecturer to the Informals and former examiner for practice paper of Final Exam. Member of the Joint Examination Board for a number of years, as well as a past Chairman thereof. Member of Council. Presently member of Biotechnology, Litigation, and Patents Committees and Chairman of Finance & House Committee; formerly President of the Disciplinary Panel. President of the Institute for year 2002/3. Services to the profession outside the Institute: Promotion of our profession overseas, especially in Far East, Australasia and the US. Other relevant information: past Chairman of the epi Professional Conduct Committee (previously Secretary) and presently Secretary of the epi Harmonisation Committee.
