What is IPAG?

Chairperson's Introduction

IPAG is a group of people engaged in administrative work connected with intellectual property rights. Some of us work on patent filings and renewals, others specialise in trade marks or litigation support. The group is supported by The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) as most members work for Fellows of CIPA.

The aim of IPAG is to further develop our education, share ideas and raise the awareness of the role within the IP profession as a whole.

Anyone working in this field can become an IPAG member.

IPAG invites any IP Administrator to join in all the activities the Group organises.

What can IPAG give you?

  • Improve your knowledge and training on all types of Intellectual Property law
  • Support of others in the IP Profession
  • Keep you updated on recent law changes
  • Quarterly Meetings
  • Lectures
  • Seminars
  • Visits to places of professional interest
  • Annual Dinner/Dance

How can you help IPAG?

  • By attending meetings and events
  • By giving us your ideas
  • By serving on a Committee
  • By assisting at events
  • By contributing to The PAN (the Patent Administrators' news sheet)

A welcome from the Chair

By attending an IPAG Meeting or Seminar you will have the opportunity to meet other colleagues in the profession within private and corporate practices from all areas of the UK and at the same time enhance your education and knowledge on Intellectual Property related matters.

Socialising is also important too and we always go for a drink at a local wine bar after a meeting!

Our Annual Dinner/Dance is an evening not to be missed, packed full of fun in a party atmosphere in a luxury hotel.
