Job Description

Looking for a role with varied tech and an interesting mix of clients? How about one with supportive supervisors who listen to what you want and understand what you need?

This firm doesn’t make promises it can’t keep. What is offered during the interview process will be what you get when you join. No smoke and mirrors, just a friendly and open-minded team with plenty of work on offer for the right candidate.

The Engineering team work with clients ranging from private individuals all the way up to recognised industry names. You will be with them every step of the way, advising during the initial IP capture, ensuring all necessary protection is in place, and dealing with any litigious issues that may arise. The role is so much than just drafting and prosecution. You will be looked to as a trusted commercial and strategic specialist.

Ideal candidates will have around 2 years’ experience, although those who have recently passed the Certificate in IP (or equivalent) will also be considered. The firm has a dedicated inhouse Professional Support team on hand to guide their trainees throughout their qualifications, ensuring the process is as smooth and stress free as possible. A strong academic background in general or mechanical engineering is required, as is the confidence and capability to work independently. You will be required to be in the office 4 days a week during your training, however once you qualify more flexibility on this will be available.
