Qualified Patent Attorney, Physics/Materials Science, Cambridge

Job Description

Qualified Patent Attorney, Physics/Materials Science, Cambridge

Is your current practice lacking variety? Do you find yourself pigeon holed constantly working with the same clients with same needs? Join a firm where this will most definitely not be the case, with a huge range of technologies at your fingertips ensuring you will be far from stuck in a rut. The firm in question has established a fantastic reputation in providing local UK clients strategic and commercially sound advice, from initial IP identification to securing necessary protection and all ongoing portfolio management.

You will be a qualified patent attorney with a couple of years’ PQE comfortable working with a range of technologies including medical devices, mechanical, oil & gas, construction, and consumer goods. The role will involve lots of collaboration with local clients needing tailored advice on how best to protect their ideas – from the early conception and development stages to drafting and prosecution in the UK and Europe, as well as liaising internationally with foreign agents.

The firm has a hub of patent attorneys working in Cambridge, as well as an office further east, and encourages their team to come together regularly for both brainstorming and social events. Hybrid working is available, as long as you’re happy travelling to the Cambridge area during the week. Part time working will be considered, and the role is also open to foreign qualified attorneys working within the physics/materials science fields.
