IP In a Post Brexit World

CIPA Chief Executive Lee Davies chairs a live Q&A with Institute President Julia Florence and Council members Alicia Instone and Matt Dixon.

Our panel consider the impact that Brexit will have on various aspects of intellectual property, from the cloning of European trade marks onto the UK register to the continuing work of UK-based Chartered Patent Attorneys in Europe. Patent work will not be affected by Brexit because the European patent system is not governed by the EU.

This event, which was broadcast on YouTube in front of a live audience from CIPA HQ on 28 October 2019, was watched by a large online audience in the UK, USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland and Poland.
