Matthew Hall joined the Intellectual Property Office (then still known as The Patent Office) in September 2007 after finishing a postdoctoral post at Cardiff University. He is a senior patent examiner working primarily on industrial chemistry applications, and since 2020 he has been the IPOs Search Tools Information Expert.
