Informals Committee

The Informals Committee is the association of CIPA’s student members, who are not yet fully qualified. It primarily supports trainee patent attorneys, including those new to the profession, part-qualified, or recently dual-qualified. The committee represents student interests within CIPA, advising its Council on training and support needs. It also provides guidance and a support network throughout the training period and early career stages. Additionally, the Informals Committee organises and promotes social, educational, and sporting events for student members across the UK, helping them connect and develop professionally. It reports to both CIPA’s Council and the Internal Governance Committee.
