Tuesday 21 April
Join EPIPA and Ben Hoyle for a follow up on the three-part webinar series designed to demystify AI in intellectual property practice from last year. This webinar provides a refresher on AI for Paralegals and looks at what has changed with AI in the last year or so. We’ll remind ourselves of the main points when working with AI and touch on practical topics such as: new cutting-edge models, agents, IP-specific tools and companies, DIY projects, new possibilities and new risk areas.
Paralegals
Dolinda is responsible for the management of the IP-Support department at AOMB Intellectual property in the Netherlands since 1990. She is one of the founders of the Dutch Association for Patent Administrators. She is further one of the founders and chairwoman of the European Platform of Intellectual Property Administrators, EPIPA, and she is also a member of e-SACEPO, one of the SACEPO working groups of the EPO.
Ben Hoyle brings a rare combination of technical expertise and legal experience to the discussion of AI in legal practice. A qualified UK and European Patent Attorney with over 20 years’ experience, he also runs Simibrum Limited, an AI development company, where he works hands-on creating AI systems. After studying Information Engineering at Cambridge University, Ben built a career drafting and prosecuting software and AI inventions for clients, as well as building side projects that tested out the growing developments in machine learning. Ben thus has an intimate understanding of the legal aspects of protecting AI, and the practicalities of building AI.
