Dr Stuart Wilkinson, Knowledge Exchange UK

Dr Stuart Wilkinson is the CEO of Knowledge Exchange UK, a world-leading professional association for Knowledge Exchange practitioners. He oversees the organisation’s strategic direction and drives initiatives to empower professionals in the sector to enable collaboration between universities, businesses and other organisations. Before his role leading Knowledge Exchange UK, Stuart was the Assistant Director of Innovation and Engagement at the University of Oxford and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fellow of Reuben College. He has held several knowledge exchange roles in technology transfer, regional innovation, entrepreneurship, and social impact through which he has gained multifaceted insights into the innovation ecosystem. Stuart is excited to steer Knowledge Exchange UK into this new phase, which will help create wider awareness of KE as a profession, and ultimately enable wider economic and societal impact from research and collaboration.

Dr. Claudia M. Duffy, Innovare IP and IP Bloks

After spending 10 years as a Research Scientist in Munich and Cambridge, Claudia entered the patent profession in 2008 and held both in-house (for two Cambridge University spinouts) and private practice roles (in London, Cambridge and Edinburgh) before becoming an IP Entrepreneur in 2019. She is the Founder of Innovare IP, a full-service legal practice, and IP Bloks, a LegalTech venture.

Claudia also spent one year working in university research commercialisation in Scotland, engaging directly with the Scottish Microelectronics Centre at the University of Edinburgh.

She is the Chair of CIPA’s IP Commercialisation Committee and Vice-Chair of epi’s IP Awareness Working Group.  She is also a Member of the UKIPO’s IP Finance Advisory Group, CIPA’s Public Affairs Committe  and epi’s IP Commercialisation Committee, as well as a Professional Member of the Economy and Enterprise Committee of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Rachel Grovenor, Oxford University Innovation

Rachel Grovenor is a Licensing & Ventures Manager at Oxford University Innovation, the technology transfer arm of the University of Oxford. She is a dual-qualified Chartered UK and European patent attorney, specialising in intellectual property (IP) protection and commercialisation.

Grovenor joined Oxford University Innovation in 2021, where she works with researchers—particularly across engineering, physics, and materials science—to protect and commercialise new technologies, supporting projects from early-stage innovation through to licensing and spin-out formation. She began her career in patent law in 2013 in private practice and has since gained experience both in-house and internationally, including time working as patent counsel in Germany. Her technical background includes an MPhys degree in Physics from Durham University.
