Job Description

A career move and a life move, all in one.

A top-tier New Zealand intellectual property practice is growing its Electronics, IT & Physics team and is looking for a qualified Patent Attorney to join at Associate level. If you’ve ever considered relocating for a better lifestyle, more space, and a fresh professional challenge – this is the moment.

This role is ideal for someone seeking a genuine change of pace. New Zealand offers clean air, coastal living, mountains on your doorstep, and a culture that values balance.

You’ll work with some of the most innovative technology companies in the AsiaPacific region, supporting cuttingedge developments in software, AI/ML, telecommunications, robotics, semiconductor devices, and physicsdriven technologies. Expect a mix of drafting, prosecution, strategic advisory work, and involvement in shaping highvalue patent portfolios for clients operating globally.

Who You Are

  • Qualified Patent Attorney (UK, EPA, or USPTO).
  • Academic background in electronics, computer science, software engineering, physics, or similar.
  • Curious, collaborative, and ready to embrace a new environment.
  • Motivated to relocate to New Zealand and build a longterm future there.

What’s Offered

Competitive salary, structured relocation support, mentorship, and a clear pathway for career progression within a respected, forwardthinking practice.
