Job Description

Like the quiet life? This one probably isn’t for you. The team is encouraged to get involved in business development and client interaction from pretty much day one of your training. So, chances are you’ll be spending a lot of your time face to face with start-ups, incubators, and SMEs – talking strategy, giving advice, and guiding them through their IP journey. There’s a huge amount of support available and one of the Partners heads up the Professional Development Committee, so if you’ve not had any prior experience in a visible role but want to give it go then that’s not an issue. And if you want a bit of independence to test the skills you’ve already learnt – then that’s OK too.

The tech mix covers everything from software to mechanical engineering, including computing, fin-tech, medical devices, and crypto. Direct clients allow for plenty of drafting, prosecution, as well as more contentious matters and litigation. The firm does hybrid working incredibly well and there’s the opportunity to collaborate with cross office teams to broaden your tech mix and experience even further.

Ideal candidates will have a couple of examinations under their belt and have a background in a subject matter related to any of the above technologies.
