Alexander Klenner-Bajaja is a seasoned artificial intelligence expert and Head of Data Science at the European Patent Office (EPO). With a PhD in bioinformatics and a background in patent processing, he has been instrumental in developing AI-driven solutions for the EPO. His expertise spans automated classification, prior art search, neural machine translation and large language model implementation. As a program manager for AI in the strategic plan, he has played a key role in driving digital transformation and supporting the patent grant process with artificial intelligence at the EPO.
