Alexander Klenner-Bajaja is a seasoned artificial intelligence expert and Head of Data Science at the European Patent Office (EPO). With a PhD in bioinformatics and a background in patent processing, he has been instrumental in developing AI-driven solutions for the patent grant processes at the EPO. His expertise spans automated classification, prior art search, and large language model implementation. As a program manager for AI and blockchain, he has played a key role in driving digital transformation and improving patent grant quality at the EPO.
