Small Practices Committee

The Small Practices Committee is a Committee of the Council of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys whose purpose is to support and represent those Members working in private practice firms with a single qualified person or a small number of qualified people (referred to herein as ‘Small Practices’).

Responsibilities/remit:

  • To represent the interests of CIPA members working in Small Practices in Council.
  • To assist CIPA members working in Small Practices and those seeking to set up a Small Practice by providing guidance materials and presentations relating to the operation of a private practice.
  • To encourage co-operation between members in Small Practices by the use of the online forum on the CIPA website and through in-person events.
