Rachel Kahler is a registered U.S. patent agent with 20 years of experience in patent law.

Rachel draws on her insight from both in-house and private practice to provide expert counsel to her clients. Her practice includes every step of invention protection, from evaluating new inventions and implementing IP protection strategies, through drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, to developing prosecution strategies within and between portfolios. Rachel also brings her experience to litigation teams, where she specializes in prior art, written description, and patent eligibility issues. Additionally, Rachel applies her expertise to assistance in performing freedom to operate, due diligence, invalidity, and noninfringement investigations, and drafting opinions.

Rachel has worked in multiple technical fields, including molecular diagnostics, stem cells, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food science and manufacturing, medical devices, and mechanical devices.
Rachel has a passion for building the IP profession, including advocating for and mentoring new and aspiring IP professionals, especially patent agents. Rachel serves on the Board of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association.

Tammy Terry is a trial lawyer specializing in intellectual property and complex commercial litigation as well as a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Her experience includes jury trials in federal and state court, Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission, patent invalidation proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, trademark invalidation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and advising and representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including Amazon Patent Evaluation Express (APEX) proceedings.

Brian Whipps is a U.S. patent attorney who focuses on global patent prosecution strategy, particularly for chemical, medical device, and drug-delivery innovations. For more than 25 years, he has advised innovators on worldwide filing and prosecution approaches, including strategies to streamline U.S. patent prosecution while preserving strong U.S. and international protection. Brian is Chair of the AIPLA International and Foreign Law Committee, a member of the AIPLA

Harmonization Committee, and a past Co-Chair of the IP Practice in Europe Committee. He is also a frequent speaker on U.S. design patent law and Unity of Invention practice at the USPTO.
