Overview of the main differences between German and British patent law, such as translation requirements, examination request, branching off / divisional application, utility model, duration of proceedings, secret patents, employee invention law and the like.
While studying for his Dr.-Ing. at the University of Dresden, in corporation with the University of Applied Science in Munich, Uli focussed his thesis on biological/enzymatical processes to prepare and bleach recycled fibres. He then went on to gain a special qualification in paper technology before spending several years working in mechanical engineering and process technology areas. Uli trained at Wallinger & Partners, Munich, the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as the Bundespatentgericht (Federal Patent Court of Germany) and spent 14 years as a partner at Fleuchaus & Gallo PartmbB in Munich before he joined Withers & Rogers 2019 as Partner in the Munich office.
