Entitlement to priority is often critical to patentability, but can be lost through failure to meet formal requirements. This webinar will review the requirements, and other important aspects of priority, with reference to EPO Board of Appeal and UK court decisions. The “all applicants” approach, proof of transfer, and “first application” are some of the aspects that will be discussed.

Laura Jennings, D.Young & CoLaura Jennings, D.Young & Co
Laura is a Patent Attorney at D Young & Co, with a background in chemical and biomedical sciences, and a DPhil in medicinal chemistry. Her work includes opposition and opinion work, as well as the prosecution of UK, European and foreign patent applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. Laura represents a wide range of clients, from academic institutions to multinational companies, and has in-house pharmaceutical experience gained through lengthy secondments with two of the firm’s clients.
