Ian is a CPA, highly experienced in dealing with clients from multinationals to micro-businesses. After a career mostly in industrial practice, including licensing and working in M&A teams, he joined his son in setting up a boutique Lloyd’s broker specialising in IP insurance and professional indemnity insurance for the legal profession. He is also a board member of the Intellectual Property Awareness Network.
Paul has spent almost 25 years working in the Lloyd’s Insurance Market. He took time out in his career to take his LLB and attend the post-graduate Legal Practice Course at the University of Law. As a specialist Lloyd’s broker he arranges intellectual property insurance, both before and after-the-event, professional indemnity insurance for legal professionals, products liability, and cyber, media and technology insurance solutions. Paul’s expertise in intellectual property insurance, in conjunction with his father Ian’s extensive IP background as a CPA, has enabled Sybaris to create its own dedicated and flexible IP insurance solution backed by Lloyd’s of London insurer capacity to assist clients defend and enforce their IP rights.
Tom Steindler is an Associate Director at Exton Advisors. Tom started his career as a litigation finance and legal expenses insurance broker in 2014 and has subsequently been involved in some of the largest and most complex litigation finance transactions globally. He has advised numerous companies on how best to address financial risk in disputes – from financing a complex claim, unlocking value in awards and portfolios to reducing a potential liability for opponents costs – as well as leveraging his experience in the litigation finance market to act as a consultant to various companies, law firms and funds.
