Tim is the Principal Patent Officer at the UK Ministry of Defence, where he manages a large number of attorneys advising on all aspects of intellectual property. Tim has been involved in the UK exams for a very long time. He authors the CIPA Study Guide for the FD3 Exam, is an FD4 Examiner, and having written most of the last 10 years’ exam papers, is the current Principal Examiner for the FD2 paper, making him wholly responsible for the exam itself. Tim is a tutor for various commercial organisations for the UK and European exams.

Paul Roscoe, CPA, EPA, is a partner at Appleyard Lees IP LLP and focuses on computer-implemented inventions and engineering subject-matter. His practice involves a lot of drafting work, and he is currently an FD2 Examiner.
