Paying attention to workplace mental health has never been more important. Talking openly about mental health is vital and if people feel they can talk openly about mental health, problems are less likely to build up. Jonathan’s Voice teamed up with the well-known national charity the Charlie Waller Trust and has produced two guides to mental health and wellbeing for IP professionals.
The good news is that more and more employers are taking action and in the most recent guide, published in March 2021, we focus on helping leaders put in place measures to ensure that workplaces are mentally healthy. To normalise the conversation about staff mental health and wellbeing, and to move away from it being seen as an ‘add on’ or ‘tick box’, there are things that leaders can encourage to help bring wellbeing into the everyday. This lunchtime event will focus on providing practical approaches so that those in the patent attorney profession can establish a working environment that genuinely supports mental health and wellbeing.
