Caroline is a patent attorney with expertise in designs. She is skilled in filing designs in the UK and Europe, and in handling complex objections such as technical function objections. Caroline also has experience in invalidity proceedings before the EUIPO and the EU General Court, and was involved in case T-617/21 which is about protecting hidden consumables.

Alex is a partner and patent attorney at Venner Shipley LLP and is also head of the firm’s design practice. Alex is experienced in advising clients on design filing strategy, managing multi-jurisdictional filing programs and handling IPO office objections on registration issues. Alex is a member of INTA’s designs committee leadership team and has lectured at numerous IP conferences and events on design law and practice.
