The requirement of patent working statement in India has been a hassle for patentees with several underestimated repercussions for non-compliance. After decades of grievances of stakeholders, amendments have been made to the patent working statement form as well as its corresponding rules in India, which are a must-know for all patentees and licensees filing said statement in 2021. However, there’s a lot of building chaos around the amendments and not much clarity. The intent of this webinar is to discuss the hows and whys of the patent working statement in India with a focus on: – key aspects of the amendments – consequences of not filing the statement – difference between not filing the statement and filing the statement as “patent not worked”
