Tom is a UK and European Patent Attorney and holds the European Patent Litigation Certificate (EPLC), providing representation rights before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). With degrees in physics and aerospace engineering, he has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patents for complex technologies. Tom’s primary practice focuses on software and computer-implemented inventions, including AI, blockchain, cryptography and data security, and high-tech processing architectures.
Tom works with a variety of clients from multiple jurisdictions, from individual inventors and SMEs, to multinational corporations. Tom assists in the developments and management of worldwide patent portfolios, and coordinates international patent prosecution, particularly in the US and Asian jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with jurisdiction-specific requirements.
