Two years on from the opening of the UPC there are now clear trends emerging in the new Court’s case law. This webinar will highlight some of the key decisions from the UPC and discuss some of the legal themes emerging from these decisions. Questions of how the Court is addressing claim construction, inventive step, added matter and other interesting topics will be addressed.

Bryce Matthewson is a partner at Powell Gilbert and has represented clients in the pharma and biotech fields as well as in the medical devices, gaming, banking and FMCG sectors. Bryce has co-ordinated a number of multi-jurisdictional matters across various European jurisdictions including the UPC on behalf of various clients. He has acted in the Munich, Milan, Nordic-Baltic and Paris divisions of the UPC and the UPC Court of Appeal.
