Following the huge success of the Women in IP and allies annual event in June, we are very excited to announce that Gowling WLG are hosting an in-person follow-up event with us on Tuesday 11 October 2022! For those wishing to join remotely, there will also be a dial-in link.
At the June event, which was held virtually due to train strikes, our panellists discussed the theme “Mind the Gap!” – inspired by Mary Ann Sieghart’s book The Authority Gap: Why women are still taken less seriously than men, and what we can do about it. The theme really seemed to resonate with a lot of people, and there’s so much more to discuss.
This follow-up event will dive deeper into some of the concepts discussed at the first event, with our amazing panellists returning to provide some more top tips for what we can do to narrow the authority gap. Plus, this time, the event will (hopefully!) be in-person, and so following the panel discussion, we can continue the discussion, network and catch up with our IP colleagues over a drink or two!

As in June, the panel discussion will be moderated by Kate Swaine, Co-Head of IP at Gowling WLG. We are delighted to be welcoming back the same panellists as in June:
There will also be an opportunity for Q&As with the audience.
Registration and refreshments will begin from 5 pm, with the remotely-accessible panel discussion starting promptly at 5.30 pm. We expect it to last about an hour and a quarter. Afterwards, there will be a networking reception with drinks and nibbles for in-person attendees who are able to stay and chat.
