Working within a heavyweight established team, you’ll advise leading global innovators developing next-generation communications technologies, including 5G, 6G and beyond. The Opportunity

This newly created position has been introduced to support continued growth within this thriving Telecoms Patent Attorney practice. You’ll become part of a collaborative team that combines technical excellence with a genuinely supportive culture, giving you the platform to develop your career at a pace that suits your ambitions. Ideally our client would like to hire into the Bristol office, however, there is definite scope to consider Telecoms Patent Attorneys in alternative locations and so please don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out more!

Your work will include:

• Drafting high-quality patent applications within the telecommunications sector.
• Preparing and prosecuting Standard Essential Patents (SEPs).
• Managing UK, European and international patent prosecution.
• Advising a varied client base ranging from multinational technology companies to innovative SMEs.
• Supporting opposition work and collaborating with overseas associates.
• Working closely with experienced colleagues across multiple UK offices.

This is primarily a fee-earning role, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding client work. However, if business development is something you’d like to develop, you’ll have every opportunity to become involved.

About You

You’ll have experience working within the telecommunications sector and possess strong patent drafting skills. Applications are welcomed from part-qualified Patent Attorneys through to experienced qualified professionals.

You’ll also bring:

• A technical background relevant to telecommunications or electronic engineering.
• Experience drafting patent specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and commercial awareness.
• The ability to manage client relationships with confidence and professionalism.
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
