How IP-backed lending expands debt finance access for SMEs

On 8 May 2025, the IP Commercialisation Committee submitted CIPA’s response to the Department for Business and Trade and HM Treasury’s open call for evidence on ‘Small Business access to (debt) finance’. The response, prepared by committee chair Claudia Duffy was published in the June issue of the CIPA Journal and can be read here.

The response to the government’s call for evidence was led by Dr Claudia M. Duffy Chair of CIPA’s IP Commercialisation Committee and a member of CIPA’s Public Affairs Committee. Claudia is also a member of the epi IP Commercialisation Committee and the IPO IP Finance Advisory Group.
