Introductory Patent Administrators’ Course 2020

The CIPA Introductory Patent Administrators’ Course is over for another year.

Time has absolutely flown by and we have been hard at work planning IPAC 2020-2021. As you are aware, we are living through very strange and difficult times but if anything, this is making us more determined than ever to put on a fantastic course from the comfort, and safety, of our own homes.

As you may or may not know, those who pass the IPAC are eligible to apply for the CIPA Paralegal member of the institute. Membership for the remainder of the year is completely free. We are very excited to have so many new Paralegal members of CIPA who can benefit from our ever-growing programme of webinars and social events, including a discounted rate to the biggest event of the year, the annual IP Paralegals Conference. Since the Paralegal membership was passed in the Bye-laws it has been of upmost importance to CIPA to make the membership highly beneficial and for Paralegals to feel heard and supported. We are very excited for what the future will bring and to expand the membership as much as possible with each passing year.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the course writers, tutors and mentors for the amount of hours, effort and enthusiasm put in to make the course a success. None of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for our amazing volunteers who help CIPA make the course as successful as it is, and we look forward to welcoming our volunteers for the 2020-2021 course: both old and new.

As previously mentioned, IPAC 2020-2021 is slowly coming together. Registration is currently scheduled to be open on Monday 11 May 2020 with a new registration form. Candidates should find registering a much simpler process, and we look forward to hearing your feedback on our improvements. Whilst we are on the topic of improvements, we have taken feedback from this year’s candidates very seriously and we have been working hard to improve as many aspects of the course as possible. This includes finding a more suitable venue for the London course, (the brand new Etc Chancery Lane which opened in Autumn 2019), increasing quality control where we can and making the student Q&A process considerably more efficient. We hope this will increase satisfaction to all future IPAC students.

We look forward to welcoming our students onto IPAC 2020-21, for hopefully our biggest and best year yet!
