CIPA is delighted to see Adam Williams appointed Interim Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office and Andy Bartlett appointed Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Services.
It is never easy losing the senior members of any organisation, not least when the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive move on at the same time. One of the defining features of the work of the IPO has been the technical expertise within the executive team. The interim appointment of Adam and permanent appointment of Andy – both experienced directors within the organisation – provides for continuity of organisational knowledge at a time when the intellectual property system is faced with challenges at home and globally.
CIPA looks forward to working with Adam, Andy and the senior team of the IPO over the coming months to ensure that the UK IP system continues to enable the UK to achieve the Government’s ambitious agenda for international trade.
