CIPA President Julia Florence said:
“CIPA would like to extend our congratulations to Jo Johnson MP and welcome him back as the new Minister for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation.
“When Mr Johnson previously held this position his remit included intellectual property and we trust it will do so again, as Intellectual Property underpins all areas of this portfolio. CIPA calls on the Minister and Government to ensure that the UK maintains the close cooperation which we currently enjoy with Europe in all areas of IP.
“We look forward to working with Mr Johnson again as he returns to this role.”
