Angelina Smith is the Head of Qualifications and joined The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys in July 2014.
Angelina is responsible for the operational delivery and quality assurance procedures for the CIPA Paralegal Examinations and the Patent Examination Board (PEB) Qualifying Examinations in accordance with IPReg requirements, the Patent Examination Board Constitution and best practice in assessment.
Angelina possesses an MSc in Criminology from the London School of Economics, a PgD in Quality Assurance from the University of Lincolnshire, UK and was a scholarship sponsored student of Psychology at the University of Lagos, Nigeria where she graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology as the department’s best student.
Angelina has worked in various roles and is a successful, management professional in quality assurance, procedure development, policy development, quality monitoring of administrative processes and customer service responsibilities.
During her career, one of her previous roles includes being an Assessment Leader for Edexcel London, now known as Pearson’s one of the world’s premier educational bodies. In this role she was responsible for theassessment, delivery and management of the examination cycle of two major ‘A’ level subjects for the UK and internationally.
Angelina is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and a member of the British Psychological Society.
