This year we are able to meet in person at a fabulous venue. The Committee has organised a varied and interesting programme to meet our requirements to stay up to date with global formalities.
In particular, with the Unitary Patent now a reality, we are looking forward to gaining an in-depth understanding of the details. The UK IPO has made significant progress with the Transformations programme which will affect all of us, and we welcome an update on their news.
This year, the committee has been working closely with CIPA, CITMA, IP Inclusive and Jonathan’s Voice, to put a focus on mental health support and guidance for IP support staff. Jonathan’s Voice will be providing us with an update as to how best to look after ourselves and to look out for others.
Our Paralegal membership has gone from strength to strength, and a panel session will discuss the work undertaken to date on the Advanced Course and the EPO certification, amongst other topics.
Finally, we would like to invite you to join us for an after-conference drinks reception, where you can mingle with your colleagues and chat with our speakers and committee members. This will be followed by a dinner (tickets can be found here), with a speaker talking about mental health and wellbeing for Paralegals. Limited tickets are available for the dinner, so we hope you will book your place and join us.
We look forward to seeing you.

Patent documents protect the work of individuals, articulate clarity and dispel ambiguity – all factors that must remain as part of a translation. Our specialists, who include former patent agents, cover the full spectrum of patent documents and processes, and they have detailed industry insight into the multitude of subjects and sectors that patent law can cover, from aerospace to healthcare. Poor translation can weaken protection and affect important deadlines.
At ABC Translations we provide meticulous accuracy, using the correct patent terminology, for a wide range of patent customers, from sole trader patent attorneys to Formalities departments of large firms and IP divisions of large multi-nationals.
