16. Annex 1 — checklist
Join CIPA as a Student Member (and ask [email protected] about the student discount card).
Sign up to the The Yellow Sheet mailing list.
Sign up for the Buddy Scheme.
Join the Informals LinkedIn group.
Watch the Lecture Archive (available via the CIPA website) Note: CIPA membership is required to attend the lectures.
Register for EQEs as soon as possible (this is different to enrolling for specific exams). You only need to do this once, and the deadline is 15 January in the year you want to sit the pre-exam.
Plan your route to UK and EP qualification and discuss with your manager.
Register for exams when you’re ready, and within the requisite time period (EQEs from April – July; PEBs in July)
Join the mailing list of your local Informals regional secretary (contact details can be found on the The Yellow Sheet – The Official Blog of the Informals Committee.
Provide feedback for UK PEB exams to the Informals Education Coordinator and the Hon. Sec.
Check the CIPA Journal on a monthly basis (esp. the printed Yellow Sheet).
Don’t know? Just ask. No questions are silly, and everyone in the profession was a trainee once! Any member of the Informals will happily field a question.
