In 2024, CIPA’s EDI Committee increased its number of meetings from once a quarter to every two months. We believe that this is giving us more traction to get things done and we are excited to meet more often.
The EDI Committee launched a new logo, which is now demonstrated on banners at many events, including CIPA Congress.
For the first time CIPA Congress held a pre-event gathering and that was hosted by the EDI Committee. Alexandra Wood (Deputy Chair) was the headline speaker.
The EDI Committee spent some time reviewing and noting the results of the survey that was conducted during Matt Dixon’s Presidency. We explored ways in which we can provide a good breadth of representation of our members at seminars, webinars, and other events. We discussed possibilities of having dedicated EDI events that were more cultural than the standard ‘Happy Hours’ often provided by CIPA. We will be carrying this forward in 2025.
Greg Iceton (Chair) and Alexandra Wood met with Carl Stychin (Chair of the Governance Board of the PEB) to discuss items surrounding the updated Reasonable Adjustments Policy provided by the PEB. The Committee will continue to work on this item in 2025 to ensure that all our student members get fair access to the examinations.

Alexandra Wood (Deputy Chair of CIPA’s EDI Committee) welcomed delegates to CIPA Congress in Edinburgh.
